South Africa Re-equip Event

Greetings!  It’s been 3 weeks since I arrived in Africa.  I’m happy to report that I’m doing well in Africa.  Right now, I’m in Lilongwe, Malawi and will fly to Tanzania next early morning (Saturday).  I’m sorry it took so long to update my blog because of poor internet while I was in Malawi for 2 weeks.  Now I want to share my experiences and photos in South Africa which happened on April 8th to 12th.  The reason why we have this workshop is to upgrade tech work.  In the past, we used tablets to recording the final filming for Bible translation so we have decided to start to use Canon camera to filming and use Final Cut Pro for editing videos.  We invited leaders from Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Ethiopia, Malawi, Tanzania, Botswana, and Zambia.  We taught them how to use camera for filming Bible translation and how to edit videos.

We started with worship and devotions.  Then we taught them for using the camera.  We also taught to set the equipment up.

Then we started to train them for editing videos.

Leah taught them for church involvement to support them.

We went out to Table Mountain in Cape Town.

Here I go, Africa!

Greetings, everyone!  Yes, I’m going back to Africa again soon.  This time will be for 3 countries (South Africa, Malawi and Tanzania).  I will stay there for 5 weeks.

Recently, I was struggling with being burdened with a lot of responsibilities.  I also had a health issue which I’m healed now.  It usually happens a lot right before I go to missions but God strengthened my faith.  Please pray for me for His strength, provision, and protection.  I will post updates and pictures.  Thank you very much for your continuing support!
