Ivory Coast Final Report

Greetings!  I’m happy to report that deaf translators have completed 5 chapters of Book of Mark.  I’m really proud of them after they faced some challenges.  Most of them are in young age (20s).  Pray for them for continue their translation work in near future.

I have been here in Africa for a month.  It’s completely different world out here.  Going back home is something I now look forward to with so much excitement.  Don’t get me wrong, I have met wonderful people in Benin and Ivory Coast.  I really enjoyed to see their progress for Bible translation.  Bible translation is very difficult work and time consuming.  It requires dedication, patience, and perseverance.  Anyway, I will stay at home for a month and then go back to Africa on April for 3 more workshops in 3 different countries.

I have post some pictures on the last week of workshop in Ivory Coast.  Enjoy!

Parfait taught them how to use a high quality camera and set up filming equipment.  They also do editing video in Final Cut Pro program on laptop.

First week of workshop in Ivory Coast

Greetings!  Just wanted to let you know that 10 deaf translators are progressing well in the workshop in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.  There were some challenges for them but they continue to work hard to translate God’s Word into their Ivory Coast sign language.  We are taking a break for this weekend.  We are looking forward to finish some chapters of Mark on this coming week.  Pray for us to continue to do translation work and provide some encouragement for them.
