Angola Workshop Update: New Translators in Action

Greetings. I forgot to post it on my blog before going on the trip to Angola. However, I’m already here in Angola. Things are going well on the first day of the workshop. They have a lot of new translators so we had to train them with our methodology today. They are doing really well because they have been preparing for this. We are working on the Book of Romans right now. Pray for them to continue to have wisdom for God’s Word so they can translate it into their sign language. I will share an update after the workshop completes. Thank you!

Strengthening Faith: Men’s Retreat Insights

Greetings! My pastor at Brasilia church invited me to preach for men group at his parents’ farm last weekend. We wanted to impact all men who attended by God’s Word. We shared God’s Word and we also strengthen each other. I preached about sin that caused many men to lose faith. I encouraged them to stand firm against enemies. We strengthen our faith by supporting each other. Also, we pray for one another. Then a pastor preached about responsibilities for men. It impacted me that I really need to get better. I want to thank God for this opportunity. We definitely need this. Hopefully, we will do this again someday. Here are some pictures I want to share.

Translation Efforts in Chile

Greetings! I came back home from Chile last week. The trip was great! I got to meet the leaders and few translators. They have been working on their Bible translation since they started 3 months ago. I’m impressed with their commitment without any support from Bible translation organization. Most projects usually wait for financial support from organization and then they start their project. But not with this Chilean project. They did on their own. I also observed that they were helping and encouraging each other. They were making sure that translation is correct, clear, natural and understanding. They are getting some quality experience. I felt that they need some training for translation work and some equipment they need for better tech work. Hopefully, one day we will come back to Chile to train them and provide tech equipment they need.
